Many of us travel with our pets and some potential problems come with this. So here’s some tips, warnings and do’s and don’ts.

It’s nearly that time again! On Sunday, May 16, 2010, Francesca Lanfranchi will be hosting the 5th Annual Strut for Mutts at Estell Manor Park.

Over the years as I have helped many pets back to health through alternative and nutritional medicine, a common question I get is, “Hey Doc, you helped my pet, do you know of a human doctor who can do the same for me?”

Beacon Animal Rescue, a No-Kill Shelter and Adoption Center located in Upper Township, NJ, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing domestic animals that are about to be euthanized in shelters, giving them the love and medical care they need, and finding their forever homes.

Other factors can influence weight gain of course, such as hypothyroidism or Cushing’s disease or hormonal imbalance from spaying (in SOME pets, not all!). Other diseases result from obesity, such as diabetes and heart disease. Sound familiar?

Once again, Francesca Lanfranchi did not let the rain stop the fun at her 4th annual Strut for Mutts, which was held on Sunday, September 27th at Estell Manor Park.
