Q. What is Spray Tanning?

A. Spray tanning is the safe way to give your skin a year round, gorgeous, even tan. Bellezza Salon at Caesars uses St. Tropez products and equipment for our tanning. The treatment gives you a fast, flawless tan in complete safety. The tan is applied and tailored by an expert in a private room. St. Tropez is used on the show “Dancing with the Stars” and to make the “beautiful people” look perfect at Red Carpet events.

Q. What is in the St. Tropez spray?

A. Using an airbrush, a liquid is sprayed that combines a self-tanner called DHA and a guide color. The guide color is a bronzer that helps the tanning artist see the application’s progress as the colorless self-tanner is sprayed on the skin.

Q. How long will it take my tan to develop?

A. The tan will begin to develop immediately. A minimum of eight hours is required for the final effect, but the best results will come from keeping the product on overnight and showering in the morning.

Q. How long will my St. Tropez tan last?

A. Using the recommended after care, the tan will last 7 to 10 days. Daily application of St. Tropez Moisturizer and exfoliating every third day with St. Tropez Body Polisher is part of the required home care.

Q. Are there different colors to choose from?

No, the same solution is used on every client as it customizes itself to your own skin color.

Q. Will St. Tropez stain my clothes and sheets?

A. Wear dark loose clothes to the service. The guide color can stain some man made fabrics. However, a good soaking in water will usually lift the tanner from the fabric. All other materials are completely safe. If the tanner rubs off on any other fabric it will simply wash out.

Q. What parts of my body will be tanned?

A. All of your body or just the portions of your body that you wish can be tanned.

Q. Will a St. Tropez tan protect me from the sun?

A. NO. After having a spray tan your skin will appear tan, even though it is not. This is an artificial tan. There is no Sun Protection Factor (SPF) in the spray tanning, so your skin is still exposed and vulnerable to the sun.

Q. If I swim, will my sunless tan go away?

A. No sunless tan can stand up to extreme conditions. Long exposure to water will fade your St. Tropez tan. Your outer cells will start to soak up water, which dilutes the effect of the tan. The longer you are in the water, the lighter your tan will get. Using St. Tropez home products regularly at night allows the tan to saturate the skin better. The tan will then hold up longer in water. Be sure to moisturize every day as this helps maintain the tan.

Q. Can pregnant or nursing mothers use the St. Tropez sunless tanner?

A. The concern some doctors have is over whether or not the active ingredient (DHA) is able to enter the blood stream. DHA only penetrates the top three layers of the skin. Always consult your physician first. FYI: DHA has been used as a cosmetic ingredient in the United States since 1960 and no problems have ever been reported concerning DHA penetrating the skin or causing problems during pregnancy.

Q. Should I shave before or after the St. Tropez application?

A. Shaving is a form of exfoliation so you should shave before the application. Shaving after will take off some of your tan, so it is best to shave before you tan.

Q. How much will the spray tan cost?

A. If you come to the salon with your skin clean and already exfoliated using St. Tropez Body Polisher the full body will cost $100. During January and February, enjoy a 20% discount.

Q. Could I arrange a tanning party for friends and myself?

A. Sure, and of course we will be happy to give your party a group rate and special evening hours.
