As never before, women are seeing their boss in the mirror, not across the desk. But with entrepreneurial respon­sibilities come new challenges and opportunities. NJAWBO is the oldest statewide women business owners’ organization in the United States and has helped women achieve their business visions by providing us with the tools necessary to develop and grow our enterprises.

There are many women’s networking groups out there, but none can compare to the resources and educational value you will get at a NJAWBO meet­ing. That is the main reason why I joined 2 years ago. From the first time I stepped into a meeting, I just knew that this was the right place for me to be in order to grow my business. Our membership continues to grow and so have our relation­ships.

Although education and building relationships is key, NJAWBO is also committed to facilitating other network­ing functions through out the year, collaborating with major corporations and being political advocates for us in New Jersey. Due to this phenomenal set up, we now have over 1000 members and over 12 chapters.

For this upcoming year, be on the look out for some excel­lent speakers on some great topics such as Money and Taxes, Protecting Yourself & Your Business, Insurance, and Marketing & Planning. Our board is working hard to make sure that we have expert speakers for each month in 2009 so you will be fully prepared and well educated on the different busi­ness decisions you will have to make now and in the future.
