Melissa has a Health Science degree from University of Richmond and a Masters in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia. She has been employed as an Exercise Physiologist and a Regional Health Educator for the Florida Department of Corrections.

Melissa and her husband Sam have lived in Linwood for the past 18 years. Melissa admits that when they first moved to this area she felt like it would never feel like home, now she knows this is exactly where they want to be. She has been the Wellness Program Coordinator at Shore Memorial Hospital, won the Atlantic City Marathon twice. She consults and writes health articles as the Corporate Wellness Director for Tilton Fitness. Her main focus now is trying to raising happy, healthy, independent girls. Melissa likes to think of these days as her own reality version of “playing house.” The game will be a lot more fun for Melissa and the girls when Sam, a Captain in the Navy, returns home from his deployment to Turkey and Iraq. The whole family misses him a lot but they are proud of his commitment.
