Carol M. Clifford is from Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She moved here from
Collingswood, NJ when she was twelve years old. Carol has extensive experience in the Hospitality Industry, including opening two Casinos and owning her own Tour Business (Grape Vine Tours). Her family has also owned restaurants and other business in the Southern New Jersey area. This is a long time dream come true for Carol, who has a self-professed love of Classic Tradition and the Victorian Era. She began collecting antique teacups in her twenties, and now serves Proper Tea in them at the Shoppe.

Rosemary (Clifford) Roberts is from Somers Point, NJ. She is a dedicated
mother of three beautiful girls. Rosemary’s background in Business
Administration, Interior Design and Cookery has made her a complimentary
match to run the Shoppe with her sister.

Imagine walking into a place and there’s soothing music, flowers, candles, tables set with crisp white linens and fine bone china. You are welcomed by someone who greets you with a smile and is sincerely happy you’re there.

Now imagine there are NO CELL PHONES RINGING. No, it’s not Heaven, but pretty close to it. You have now entered A Victorian Tea Shoppe at 6024 Main Street in Historic Mays Landing, NJ.

Yes, that Mays Landing. This truly Exquisite Gift Shoppe has 22 beautifully appointed upholstered seats where you will sit, relax, and be pampered for the next two hours. You will be given a menu of over twenty-five gourmet teas to choose from for your own Personal Teapot. You are encouraged to try as many as you like (No extra charge).

You will be given a bit of ‘Tea History’ and how ‘Proper Afternoon Tea’ came about. Some facts may even be quite surprising. You will be invited to wear one of our unique hats and even take a memento picture if you like. You will then be served an elegant tiered array of homemade Scones with Devonshire Cream, Lemon Curd, preserves, Gourmet Tea Sandwiches and a delectable selection of specially made desserts. Then, if things were not wonderful enough, there is something very chocolate to end your ‘Proper Afternoon Tea Experience’.
