With the Holidays behind us and winter still in the air, I find myself enthralled with creative ideas which I will make a reality for my studio clients. Late winter is a splendid time to create intimate images of children and our loved ones. It is that time of the year when I love turning on my window light effects; play soft music; light a beautifully scented candle; and use my creativity to capture timeless moments which are artful and memorable like the gentle snow covered earth on a peaceful winter day.
Often I use warm sepia tones in my printing process. Monochromatic images have a unique quality which is most likely lost in a color print. Monochromatic images allow us to thoroughly absorb the moods and expressions be they in the most romantic or stoic poses.
With the absence of color, your eye will not be distracted, but intrigued with details, subtleties, and expressions beneath the surface.
With Valentine’s Day approaching and Spring beckoning our rebirth and enchanting weddings being planned, there is no better time to embark on a creative adventure into the experience of allowing me to produce images of you and your loved ones which will be embraced for years to come.
